Y(our) Perspectives: Programmes and courses focus on the needs and demand of local/regional and international  Building Contractor Companies, Government Sectors (Building, Maintenance, Water Supply), Consulting Engineers Companies, NGO’s and Parastatals, City&Town Councils, Bulk Water Supply Industry.  The department strives to stay on the edge of technology development and dissemination, local and regional capacity building through networking and resource sharing.

Our ProgrammesThe department has reviewed its curricula in 2004 and has built up capacity through the introduction of a MSc-programme in integrated water resources management. This programme is based on a new Bachelor in water engineering, founded on a 6-semester National Diploma in Civil Engineering and Project Management. The department introduced a Bachelor in urban engineering back in 2002 and received full accreditation for this programme in 2003.

Our Curricula: ...are internationally compatible and competitive, fully competence driven with a pre-determined competence profile for every course we offer.  The department strives to reach international accreditation for it's programmes in 2005.
The new/revised/integrated curricula add on a great number of vital engineering skills, avoid content duplication, provide for research already on NC-level, expose the student to a wide spectrum in civil& environmental engineering as well as in the fields of project management
