-Environmental (Applied and Industrial) Physics and Chemistry, with special emphasis to air quality.
-Aerosol dynamics i.e. the formation, growth, movement, and removal of atmospheric aerosols using Differential Mobility Particle Sizer (DMPS) and Air Ion Spectrometer (AIS)
-Determination of concentrations of atmospheric pollutants in the mining areas of the North West province using the tapered element oscillating microbalance (TEOM) and cascade impactors.
-Determination of the composition of atmospheric pollutants using Scanning Electron Microscopy coupled with Energy Dispersive Spectrometry (SEM-EDS), Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy (ICP-MS), Ion Chromatography (IC), Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS) and Particle Induced X-ray Emission (PIXE).
-Modeling of the concentrations of atmospheric pollutants
