  Hostel And Kitchen Services  
This section provides students with a wide range of nutritional meals served at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Menus are planned in conjunction with the menu committee. This section also ensures a clean living environment, maintenance of hostel and kitchen facilities.
 
Meal Times
• Breakfast 06:30 - 07:30
• Lunch 12:00 - 14:00
• Dinner 16:45 - 18:15
 
Individual and Group Counselling for Kitchen Staff
The Social Worker and Student Counselor/ HIV/AIDS Coordinator provide individual and group counselling to all Kitchen staff on Hygiene, grieve and HIV/AIDS Related Issues.
 

Hostel Recess Dates: 2011
• 26 April – 04 May: Mid-Semester Break
• 21 June - 10 July: Mid year Recess
• 03 July: Hostel & Kitchen officially Open
• 22 August - 28 August: 2nd Semester Break
• 20 November: Hostel & Kitchen officially Close until February 2012
 
Valentine’s Dinner
The Valentines Dinner is one of the main events for the Hostel Students and is organised by the Housing Committee Members. The event is organised to add to the purpose of creating socializing events for the Hostel Students, where they can interact with their fellow Hostel Students.
 
The event was held on the 12 February 2010, the Friday evening two days before the real date of Valentines, which was on the 14 February 2010. The Engineering Basement was decorated to create the necessary atmosphere for the Valentines Dinner.
 
About 300 hostel students attended the dinner. Poems were read and the group called also delivered a few songs which were very much enjoyed by the students.
